About Me

My photo
I live on the ocean, write women's fiction, love to read so much that it's an addiction rather than a hobby (I read an average of a book a day). I live on the wet west coast so it's a good thing that I like to walk in the rain.

The Memory Keeper's Daughter

Like this title? You'll love the book by Kim Edwards. It's a wonderful, lyrical yet fast-paced I'm-dying-to-know-what-happens kind of book.

Edwards manages to tell a story where everyone is both wrong and right in the decisions they make and the way they live their lives. We go through the book shifting sympathies from one character to another but, in the end, we manage to feel for each of them.
The characters feel like real people. They make mistakes, they do their best, they try to love the people around them the best they can and don't always manage it.
I don't want to spoil the story by telling you the plot, but I promise you'll enjoy it whether you're looking for a deeply emotional story or a what-happens-next kind of book.
