About Me

My photo
I live on the ocean, write women's fiction, love to read so much that it's an addiction rather than a hobby (I read an average of a book a day). I live on the wet west coast so it's a good thing that I like to walk in the rain.

For Your Consideration

I LOVE Christopher Guest's movies - Waiting for Guffman is one of my favorite movies ever. I loved Best in Show and A Mighty Wind, so I was definitely looking forward to seeing For Your Consideration. Plus, because I love movies, this movie about making a movie had everything going for it. Christopher Guest, basically the same cast as in all the other movies, the great ex-SCTV comics, plus a few other entertaining actors, I'm expecting great things.

And there are great moments. Catherine O'Hara is her usual extremely talented and funny self - her transformation halfway through the movie is hysterically funny. But really, for me, that's all there were - great moments.

When the movie ended - and it was very short, less than 90 minutes long - I wondered what I'd missed. But my movie companion felt the same way.

This movie has some great acting, some funny moments, but if you're expecting Waiting for Guffman, you might watch that movie again on DVD.
